Goodbye Madison

Today was our last full day living in Madison. It seems that everyone else has already left. Just stragglers still here. I want to get going as soon as possible. Mainly because I know this will not be easy on Lindsey and the kids, especially Juliette. Like taking off a plaster it's better to do it quickly so we can get going on the next stage of our lives. The sooner we get into the new apartment, the sooner we can get settled and everybody into activities making new friends.

I've Got Some Good News and Some Bad News

For the teenagers of Britain the powers that be have some good news and some bad news.

In the good news column a government agency is recommending that national exams be stopped for all under-16s as they are causing too much stress for the kids and aren't providing any value in return.

In the bad news column another government agency would like to introduce compulsory community service for all teenagers. So that time you would have been spending revising would be spent helping out at old folks homes.

Swing and roundabouts kids, swings and roundabouts.
